Ingredients
Brownie Layer
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Peanut Butter Layer
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
Add-Ins
- 16–20 Oreo cookies
Topping
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (for drizzle)
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix melted butter with sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt, and mix just until combined to form a thick, fudgy batter.
Pour half of the brownie batter into a lined baking pan and spread it evenly. Arrange Oreo cookies across the batter, placing them in a single layer. In a separate bowl, mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, and cream cheese until smooth, then spread this mixture over the Oreo layer. Finish by adding the remaining brownie batter on top, spreading gently to cover.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft. Avoid overbaking to keep the brownies fudgy. Let them cool completely in the pan before adding the topping.
Melt the chocolate chips until smooth and spread over the cooled brownies. Warm the peanut butter slightly and drizzle it over the chocolate layer. Let everything set before slicing into squares.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter to keep brownies soft and fudgy.
- Slightly underbake for a gooey center texture.
- Let brownies cool completely before cutting for clean layers.
