Description

These Crockpot Hot Dogs are the easiest way to feed a crowd. Simply place the hot dogs in a slow cooker, let them heat through, and keep them warm for hours. Perfect for parties, game days, cookouts, birthdays, and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 40 hot dogs (all-beef, turkey, or your favorite variety)
  • 40 hot dog buns

Optional Flavor Additions

  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

Optional Toppings

  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Relish
  • Diced onions
  • Sauerkraut
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Jalapeños
  • Chili
  • Pickles

Instructions

  • Place the hot dogs into a 6 to 8-quart slow cooker.
  • If using onions, mustard, or barbecue sauce, add them over the hot dogs.
  • Cover with the lid.
  • Cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours or HIGH for 1½ to 2 hours until heated through.
  • Once hot, switch the slow cooker to the WARM setting.
  • Serve directly from the crockpot with buns and your favorite toppings.
  • Allow guests to build their own hot dogs from a toppings bar.

Notes

  • Do not add water. Hot dogs release enough moisture while cooking.
  • Keep the slow cooker on WARM during parties to prevent overcooking.
  • A standard 6-quart crockpot can usually hold 40 to 60 hot dogs.
  • Toast the buns before serving for extra flavor and texture.
  • Great for birthday parties, graduation celebrations, tailgates, and holiday cookouts.
