Tender shredded chicken is combined with creamy cheese, spicy buffalo sauce, and rich ranch seasoning, then slow-cooked until hot and bubbly. Perfect for game days, potlucks, holidays, or casual gatherings, this crowd-pleasing dip delivers all the flavors of buffalo wings without the mess.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)

  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  • Add the shredded chicken to the crockpot.
  • Place the softened cream cheese on top of the chicken.
  • Pour in the buffalo sauce and ranch dressing.
  • Add half of the cheddar cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Stir everything together until combined.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours or HIGH for 1 to 1½ hours.
  • Stir the dip well once the cheeses have melted.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top.
  • Cover again and cook for another 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  • Garnish with blue cheese crumbles and sliced green onions before serving.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, celery sticks, or carrot sticks.

Notes

  • Rotisserie chicken works perfectly and saves time.
  • Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce depending on your preferred spice level.
  • Full-fat cream cheese creates the creamiest texture.
  • Stir occasionally during cooking if your crockpot runs hot.
  • Keep the dip on the warm setting during parties.
