Description

Bacon Ranch Chopped Salad is a creamy, crunchy, and flavorful dish packed with fresh vegetables, crispy bacon, cheese, and a rich ranch dressing. Every bite is loaded with texture and savory flavor, making it perfect as a side dish or a light meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Salad

  • 3 cups broccoli florets (chopped small)
  • 1 cup cauliflower florets (chopped)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup corn kernels (fresh or canned)
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, cubed or shredded
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

Dressing

  • 3/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients

Start by chopping the broccoli and cauliflower into small, bite-sized pieces so the salad has a true chopped texture. Cook and crumble the bacon, dice the cooked chicken into small cubes, and finely chop the red onion. Measure out the corn and cheese so everything is ready to combine.

Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, mix the ranch dressing with mayonnaise and sour cream until smooth and creamy. Season lightly with salt and pepper, adjusting the flavor depending on how strong or mild you like your dressing.

Assemble the Salad

In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli, cauliflower, chicken, bacon, corn, cheese, and red onion. Pour the dressing over the mixture and toss thoroughly until everything is evenly coated and well mixed.

Chill and Serve

Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30–45 minutes before serving. This helps the flavors blend together and slightly softens the vegetables while still keeping a nice crunch.

Notes

  • Cut ingredients small for the best chopped texture.
  • Use freshly cooked bacon for maximum flavor.
  • Adjust dressing amount depending on preference.
