For the Lavender Syrup:

  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp culinary lavender buds

For the Latte:

  • 12 shots espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee)
  • ¾ cup oat milk
  • 1 tbsp lavender syrup (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  • Make the Lavender Syrup:

    • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water, sugar, and lavender buds.
    • Stir until the sugar dissolves and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
    • Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes.
    • Strain out the lavender buds and store the syrup in a jar.
  • Brew the Espresso:

    • Pull 1-2 shots of espresso using an espresso machine, or brew ½ cup strong coffee.
  • Steam the Oat Milk:

    • Heat oat milk in a saucepan or steam using a frother until warm and foamy.
  • Assemble the Latte:

    • Pour the espresso into a mug, add lavender syrup, and stir.
    • Pour steamed oat milk over the coffee.
    • Optionally, top with extra lavender buds or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  • Serve & Enjoy:

    • Stir gently and enjoy warm!
