For the Creole Shrimp Pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp Creole or Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

For the Creamy Creole Sauce:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken or seafood broth
  • ½ cup fire-roasted tomatoes, drained
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta:

    • Boil salted water and cook pasta according to package directions.
    • Drain and set aside.
  • Season & Cook the Shrimp:

    • Toss shrimp with Creole seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
    • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté the Vegetables:

    • In the same skillet, add onion, bell peppers, and garlic.
    • Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Make the Sauce:

    • Pour in heavy cream, chicken broth, and fire-roasted tomatoes.
    • Stir in Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.
    • Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  • Combine Everything:

    • Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet.
    • Toss until fully coated in the creamy Creole sauce.
  • Serve & Enjoy:

    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
    • Optional: Sprinkle with extra Parmesan or red pepper flakes for extra heat.
